The dimensional control department is an integral part of the production processes at Mets and in particular, for the thermal coatings division, since the coated parts are required to return to the customer with the same surface and dimensions as the original part before coating.

As part of its ongoing work, the department carries out a strict audit both at the level of the dimensions of the parts and at the level of the quality of the area.

 

In the department there are  Automatic and one manual CMM machines with an accuracy of up to one and a half microns.  

For the department, there is a computerized projector profile that is used to measure complex shapes.

Additional measuring devices used by the department:

  • Internal bore gauge

  • Different micrometers have an accuracy of plus or minus a micron

  • altimeter

  • microscope

 

In the dimensional control department, they work according to the ISO standard, similar to all the factory departments, while the sampling plan in the department is according to SQUEGLIA, Zero Acceptance Number Sampling Plans
